Hi SPOOM Community:
We have a mill on a pond with a vertical axis turbine that generates electricity now. The village (Iola, WI) cuts weeds every summer and we have to shut down due to the volume of weeds that get caught at the head race intake at the lake and also at grates just before turbine, which need raking nearly daily anyways.
Curious if anyone has ideas or resources for designing and building something at the lake to deflect the cut weeds while maintaining flow?
